Book Review

Sorry i havent posted any reviews lately. Ive been so busy with school work that all my extra out of school reading has been put on hold. But i did just finish a book and i thought i would share.

Book Title: How To Make Love Like A Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale
Author: Jenna Jameson with Neil Strauss
Link (optional):
Genre: Biography
Your rating of the book (1-10), 1 [worst] to 10 [best]: 8
Would you suggest this book to anyone?: Not to everyone. Its the bio of the biggest porn star in the industry. Some dont like porn or porn stars, and some dont want to see naked pictures of her while your reading her story, but its a fantastic read for anyone who would be interested in her.
Warnings (example: graphic language, "sexual" references): Its a book about a porn star. There is talk of sex, drugs, and about the porn industry. Also pictures of Jenna naked throughout the book.

Short description/summary of the book: From the book: Sexual icon Jenna Jameson, the most famous female adult entertainment star in history, steps further into the mainstream spotlight with this beautifully written, designed, and photographed tell-all sexual autobiography.

Simply, the biography of the biggest porn star in the industry. Tells of her troubled past and how she got to where she is in the business. This is not smut but rather a biography of her life.

Your own thoughts on the book: I loved the book. And I hate biographies. Its one genre that I find very hard to throw myself into, book wise. So for me to say that I love this book and couldn't put it down, means something. I've been a fan of hers for awhile. She once said, "I have a very bad insecurity about my body. I feel there is something wrong with it...I hate being seen naked. I'll get over it someday...Hopefully!!" Since ive read that quote, I knew that I wanted to know her story. It is sometimes very detailed and graphic, but I think any biography should be. Shes had a rough life and you cant help but get completely caught up in her story. Its an amazing read to see how she fought her way to the top through life and the porn industry.

Any other comments that you would like to share?: Its not for everyone but I think it was a fantastic book. I hated to see it end.

What's next on your book list?: Right now im heading into midterms at school. But i did start War of the Flowers by Tad Williams and Vanished by Danielle Steele. Ill probably get to finish them over christmas break.
